How to Prepare Your Oven for a Professional Clean
Booking a professional oven clean is a great way to get your oven looking its best again. The good news is that there isn't much you need to do before we arrive!
At Gorilla Clean, we want to make the process as easy and convenient as possible. Here are a few simple things you can do to help us get started.
1. Remove any pots, pans & baking trays being stored inside your oven
Before your appointment, please remove any pots, pans, baking trays or other items you may be storing inside your oven. Please leave only the oven racks and trays that came with the oven as these will be included in the clean.
This helps us get straight to work when we arrive and ensures your oven is ready for its professional clean.
2. Make Sure Your Oven Is in Working Order
Before booking your professional oven clean, please make sure your oven is fully working and can be switched on and heated.
Our professional cleaning process requires the oven to be heated to activate the cleaning solution, so we're unable to clean ovens that are disconnected, not working or currently in storage.
We've occasionally received bookings for ovens that have been removed from kitchens and put into storage, but unfortunately, these cannot be cleaned using our usual process.
If your oven has a fault, don't worry! Gorilla Clean also offers oven repairs, so get in touch and we can discuss your options before arranging a clean.
3. Make a little space nearby
We'll need somewhere to work on the removable parts of your oven, so clearing a little space on the kitchen worktop and sink will be helpful. On occasions we may need access to a kettle or boiling water.
4. Let us know about any problems
If your oven isn't heating properly, the fan is making a strange noise or the light has stopped working, let us know. As well as professional oven cleaning, Gorilla Clean also offers oven repairs, so we may be able to help with any issues we discover.
5. Leave the cleaning to us!
You don't need to buy cleaning products or attempt to tackle stubborn grease yourself. We carefully dismantle the removable parts of your oven, including the back panel and fan blade where appropriate, to clean areas that are often missed during a normal clean.
We avoid harsh chemicals that can damage your oven, helping to leave it clean and ready to use again.
